1. Design a Banner Background in Canva
We will start by designing a new background for our funnel. You can literally design anything in Canva and they have quite a lot of templates ready for you to use!
We are choosing a template with the right dimensions for the banner and then remove everything on it - Including colors and text fields! We wanna start from scratch!
Width: 1920
Height: 1080
Step 1 - Add Abstract image
Add an image to the banner.
Reduce transparency to 10.
Select picture and add a dark blue effect to it.
Abstract image
Step 2 - Add City image
Add an image of a city (or anything you like) on top of the previous image.
Reduce transparency down to 5 - 10.
Results
As you can see below, the final banner background is quite dark, with a hidden city and abstract image behind it.
This way, the background wont take away too much focus from the rest but still adding a nice detail to your page.
Export as JPG and it's ready to be used on your page or funnel builder. If your image is too large, make sure you compress it before uploading it to your site - Otherwise your page load speed will suffer!
2. Design a portrait for your banner
Step 1: Add frame
Width: 600 - 800 pixels.
Height: 600 - 800 pixels.
Step 2: Add portrait
Make sure you have high quality photos of yourself or the object you wanna show.
Remove background from the portrait using Canvas own background remover.
Step 3: Add elements behind your portrait
Choose elements, and search for interesting objects such as "3D Render" or "blob".
Play around by adding a few elements and put them behind your portrait.
Before downloading your image, make sure you choose the right background color inside Canva first - Especially if you don't have a Paid plan, where you can download it without a background.
While playing around with the designs, simply mark your entire frame and duplicate - That way you don't have to start from scratch every time you add a new design. We always create a few designs before we are completely satisfied!
Example 1 - Portrait with a blue Blob behind
Example 2 - Portrait with a circle behind

Make sure to use colors and background elements that aligns with your other colors on the page. In this image below you can see the results - A simple portrait with a blob behind.
3. Designing Icons
Icons are a simple way to add extra details to your page. By using icons together with other elements, you can easily and quickly design small PNG:s to export to your funnel builder.
Step 1: Adding a ICON
Don't just add icons for the sake of it - Choose icons and graphics that communicates what you wanna say.
Icons are often used as a way to communicate a title or button as well.
Step 2: Adding background CIRCLE
Example - Business Icon Light Theme
Examples of where we use Icons
So instead of using 1, 2 and 3 above the headlines, we can insert our own beautifully designed icons.
Or just adding them as an extra detail that immediately tells the visitor what the section is about.
4. Adding text or brand logo to your portrait
In this example we will show you how to add a cool text, logo or signature to your portrait.
Search for text styles inside Canva, and you will find some incredible templates to use.
How we did it in this example:
Added a text with a nice design
Changed text to 'Gusten'. (You use your own brand, name or company.)
Duplicated the text field until there was 5 of them
Add a little extra transparency for each text field, which will make it fade away.
Then drag your portrait back on top of the 5 text fields to see the results!
Results - Portrait with 5 Gusten text fields behind
These are simple Canva hacks you can use for your own funnel or website design project! Hopefully these are helpful to you!
